Indo-Bangla vow to jointly tackle cross-border

Dhaka, June 27: India and Bangladesh have vowed to jointly tackle the problem of cross-border terrorism and decided to have a meeting of their Home secretaries in this regard. At the end of their two-day Foreign Secretary level talks in Dhaka on Tuesday, the two countries also agreed to enhance security cooperation. In a joint statement at the end of the talks held after a gap of two years, the two sides called their talks to be "constructive and forward looking". A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed between the national standard organisations of the two countries. The two sides also discussed several issues relating to tariff and non-tariff barriers, besides coordinated development of land custom stations. Bureau Report
